The day began with a special morning assembly, where students and teachers observed a minute's silence before walking together to the school's Shaheed Minar to lay wreaths in memory of the language martyrs of 1952.
It was followed by a discussion on the history of the Language Movement, a wall-magazine exhibition and a recitation competition for all classes.
